Tonight I Can Write The Saddest Lines

Journal Entry: Sun Mar 20, 2011, 4:13 AM
Here is an exerpt from a poem by Pablo Neruda called "Tonight I can write the saddest lines" The English translation is below. It is accompanied by some of the images I have faved recently and the music  I have chosen is called Einstein's Dream by Mikael Delta - Right click on the [link] and open a new tab to listen to the music while you read and look at the images - I hope you like it.

Exerpt from Pablo Neruda's "Tonight I can write the saddest lines"

Tonight I can write the saddest lines.
I loved her, and sometimes she loved me too.
Through nights like this one I held her in my arms.
I kissed her again and again under the endless sky.
She loved me, and sometimes I loved her too.
How could one not have loved her great still eyes?
Tonight I can write the saddest lines.
To think that I do not have her. To feel that I have lost
her.
To hear the immense night, still more immense without
her,
And the verse falls to the snow like dew to the pasture.
What does it matter that my love could not keep her.
That night is shattered and she is not with me.
This is all. In the distance someone is singing. In the
distance.
My soul is not satisfied that it has lost her.
My sight searches for her as though to go to her.
My heart looks for her, and she is not with me.

I am ... Music by All Angels Gone

Journal Entry: Sat Mar 5, 2011, 6:43 AM
This is a piece of writing I came across recently. I hope it touches you as much as it touched me. It goes accompanied by an instrumental piece of music by French group "All Angels Gone"    Right click and open the link to listen and read at the same time  [link]    The Images are some of my latest faves. Thank you for checking it out  And please feel free to spread the message.

I am the girl kicked out of her home because I confided in my mother that I am a lesbian.

I am the prostitute working the streets because nobody will hire a transsexual woman.

I am the sister who holds her gay brother tight through the painful, tear-filled nights.

We are the parents who buried our daughter long before her time.

I am the man who died alone in the hospital because they would not let my partner of twenty-seven years into the room.

I am the foster child who wakes up with nightmares of being taken away from the two fathers who are the only loving family I have ever had. I wish they could adopt me.

I am one of the lucky ones, I guess. I survived the attack that left me in a coma for three weeks, and in another year I will probably be able to walk again.

I am not one of the lucky ones. I killed myself just weeks before graduating high school. It was simply too much to bear.

We are the couple who had the Realtor hang up on us when she found out we wanted to rent a one-bedroom for two men.

I am the person who never knows which bathroom I should use if I want to avoid getting the management called on me.

I am the mother who is not allowed to even visit the children I bore, nursed, and raised. The court says I am an unfit mother because I now live with another woman.

I am the domestic-violence survivor who found the support system grow suddenly cold and distant when they found out my abusive partner is also a woman.

I am the domestic-violence survivor who has no support system to turn to because I am male.

I am the father who has never hugged his son because I grew up afraid to show affection to other men.

I am the home-economics teacher who always wanted to teach gym until someone told me that only lesbians do that.

I am the man who died when the paramedics stopped treating me as soon as they realized I was transsexual.

I am the person who feels guilty because I think I could be a much better person if I did not have to always deal with society hating me.

I am the person who stopped attending church, not because I don't believe, but because they closed their doors to my kind.

I am the person who has to hide what this world needs most, love.

I am the person who is afraid of telling his loving Christian parents he loves another male.

RIP Gary Moore

Journal Entry: Mon Feb 7, 2011, 2:13 PM
Celebrated rock guitarist and former Thin Lizzy star Gary Moore was found dead in a Spanish hotel room Sunday, the band's manager confirmed.

Moore, 58, started out in Irish band Skid Row before being drafted into Thin Lizzy by frontman Phil Lynott to replace the outgoing Eric Bell.
"I still can't believe it," Bell told the BBC. "He was so robust, he wasn't a rock casualty, he was a healthy guy.
"He was a superb player and a dedicated musician."

Belfast-born Moore started learning the guitar at eight and went on to forge a successful solo career between his two stints in Thin Lizzy, collaborating with George Harrison, the Beach Boys and Ozzy Osbourne.
Original Lizzy founding member Brian Downey paid tribute to his bandmate.
"I am in total shock," he said. "He will always be in my thoughts and prayers and I just can't believe he is gone."

Thin Lizzy guitarist Scott Gorham added his own respects.
"Playing with Gary during the Black Rose era was a great experience. He was a great player and a great guy," he said. "I will miss him."

Moore received critical praise for his contribution to the 1974 Thin Lizzy album, Nightlife, and scored chart success in Britain with singles Parisienne Walkways and Out in the Fields.
Legendary singer Lynott died in 1986 after battling alcohol and drug addiction.

The Symphony Of Sorrow by Henryk Górec

Journal Entry: Sun Dec 26, 2010, 2:57 PM
This journal is dedicated to the late Henryk Górecki who died 12 November 2010.

:music: The Symphony Of Sorrow :music:

In 1992, 15 years after it was composed, a recording of Henryk Gorecki's Third Symphony, Symphony of Sorrowful Songs, recorded with soprano Dawn Upshaw and released to commemorate the memory of those lost during the Holocaust became a worldwide commercial and critical success, selling more than a million copies and vastly exceeding the typical lifetime sales of a recording of symphonic music by a 20th-century composer. As surprised as anyone at its popularity, Górecki said, "Perhaps people find something they need in this piece of music somehow I hit the right note, something they were missing." Friend's Feature

Journal Entry: Sun Nov 28, 2010, 4:38 AM
This is some of the artwork I have previously faved in my gallery, therefore I really like the pieces as they stand, however I have resized the images and formed different shapes. This is not done to undermine their artwork nor to elude that they would be better in this way but to merely look at their art from another prism. I have always thought about how we see art differently, and remember an old art history teacher of mine who when speaking of painter El Greco referred to his elongated artwork as being as a result of a problem the painter had with his sight. I have sent notes to the artist's featured here telling them of my complete willingness to remove their images if they so wish. Are You There?

Journal Entry: Sun Oct 31, 2010, 4:15 PM
Music [link]

Are you there?
The wonderful to know
All the ghosts...
All the ghosts...
Freak my selfish out
mind is happy
Need to learn to let it go
to know you'd do no harm to me

Since you've been gone I've been lost inside
Tried and failed as we walked by the riverside
Oh I wish you could see the love in her eyes
The best friend that eluded you lost in time
Burned alive in the heat of a grieving mind

But what can I say now?
And It couldn't be more wrong
Cos there's no one there
Unmistakably lost and without a care
oh lost all the love that we could share
And its wearing me down
And its turning me round
And I can't find a way
Now to find that it out
Where are you when I need you...

Are you there ? Are you there ? Are you there ? Are you there ?
