Believe it or not I took the shot in a carnival parade. He seemed so far away from what was really going on - It's difficult to imagine that there was deafening samba drums ringing out unable to break this boys thought...

I do like this piece...didn't you have a color version? I can see this on a wall

Thanks Gerrit - I uploaded a b/w similar to this one - the colour doesn't have the same dreamlike atmosphere. I wasn't sure whether to put this in the mixed art or photomanipulation - in the end I opted for the latter.
